  • I am in-network with Aetna in both New York and New Jersey. For all other insurance plans, I accept private payment for services.

    For private payment, some insurance plans offer out-of-network benefits that can reimburse you a partial amount for our visits. This amount can range from 30-80% based on insurance plans. I can provide a statement of services to help you seek reimbursement with your insurance provider. Please try to call your insurance to determine the details of your out-of-network benefits prior to your consultation. You may use this form to ask your insurance about out-of-network benefits.

  • Most appointments are held virtually through secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth software for patients in New York and New Jersey. For your privacy, I recommend using a private space and headphones during sessions.

    Limited in-person appointments are also available in Hackensack, NJ, and in Flatiron District in NYC.

  • I offer a free introductory phone call, during which I will discuss your needs, review session fees (which vary by service), and answer any initial questions.

  • I accept payment on a secure platform (stripe) using a credit or debit card, or direct payment via zelle. Payment will be collected at the start of the visit.

  • Yes. Dr. Veras is a board-certified psychiatrist with extensive experience treating all adult patients.

  • Under the No Surprises Act, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining the expected costs of your mental health care. This estimate applies to individuals who are uninsured, self-pay, or requesting information about the cost of services.
